An idea of Barbara Gaughen is to hold before the year 2000 a World Conference on Ideas for a Peaceful and Better World in the 21st century and third millennium.
It would probably be one of the most unusual and most useful conferences in human history.

In February 1992, when a hole in the ozone layer developed above the United States, President Bush implemented the convention to deal with ozono.
