Ending War

~ Idea 2012 ~

Everybody complains about violence but few dare or make the effort to obtain government control over violence in the media. We should therefore not be surprised of the kind of world we have. Peoples' peace and anti-war movements have succeeded in reducing international wars to practically zero.

We need now anti-militarism, anti-armaments, anti-religious wars, anti-ethnic wars and every conceivable anti-any form of violence movements.

An anti-violence in the media movement should be high on the list.

Robert's Golden Sayings
Love must become the subject of serious scientific study. Loved children are healthier, happier, more peaceful children. Loved husbands have seldom heart attacks. Loved plants grow better. Loved animals are not vicious. Loved nations do not wage war. A humanity of loving people will be a peaceful humanity. To promote love means therefore to promote peace. Yes, let us have a loveology, a science of love, to start with a World University of Love.

My Testament to the UN
-A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 8

George Washington, in his will, left part of his inheritance for the creation of a national university. States were so opposed to his all American views, that it was never created. We are luckier at the UN: there exist today a UN University, a supranational University for Peace, an International Maritime University and a World Institute for training in nuclear physics. May this novel trend spread to many more fields.

Dear Robert,

I am writing re. your idea about surrounding the child bearing mother with love, consideration, and happiness.

Here is what I said few years ago at a meeting of an organization I was a member of at that time, re. children rights:

"Pregnancy should be considered as a protected part of life cycle, where the expecting mother should get maximum support and protection, when at the same time she respects her yet unborn child as a human being with full rights."

Many children experience direct physical abuse during their fetal life as a response of a mother to be to fetal movements, or in response to external frustrations.

During fetal life many are also exposed to harm resulting from substance abuse by the mother during pregnancy.

Each year here in Canada, where I live, we can expect over 1,000 children born with FAS, over 3,000 with Fetal Alcohol Effect. Their future is life devoid of happiness, filled with misery.

Still many other fetuses share with their mothers the effects of abuse and suffering the mother is exposed to herself.

Abusive partner, lack of support, extreme poverty, war, all contribute here.

The brain development is guided by neural activity. During pregnancy there are two brains in one body. Both are affected. One of them is just developing.

Warm regards,

Dana Sokolowska

Yesterday i was given the opportunity to open a door for a mother carrying her toddler - that small act of service gave me joy for quite sometime. I often think how easy it really could be if little things like that were multiplied all over the globe. We can all be winners.
