| | | [GMW #885] World's Religions Can Nurture Validation & Happiness Everywhere | Friday 17 February 2006, Editor: Easy | RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | | Daily Blog: English | Portuguese I Spanish | | Religion & Spirituality | ~ Idea 3645 ~ It is wonderful to see people go to a church, a temple or a house of worship where they are told that they are children of God, of Yahweh, of Allah, of the Great Spirit or of other prophets who told them that they are most precious, unique cosmic, heavenly beings. All great founders and prophets of religions were messengers of the universe, of the cosmos, of the mysterious Creation, of the Creator. People are validated, uplifted, inspired by them. No government, no other human institutions tell them that they are miraculous, cosmic beings. What a source of validation and happiness the world's religions and cultures can be. The only trouble was that the cosmic messengers were so precious, so true, so unique that strict, fundamentalist religions were born around them, anxious to conquer all humanity, even at the cost of making wars. This will end in the 3rd millennium thanks to the United Religions Initiative, an organization similar to the United Nations which will bring together all religions of the world. My dreams and proposals in New Genesis, Shaping a Global Spirituality (Doubleday, 1982) are being fulfilled. * Daily Idea Dream Topics: Peace, Idea Dreams 6001-6500, Ending War, Planet Of Hope, Religion & Spirituality |
| Robert's Golden Sayings | We must seek and develop wholesomeness into every direction: physical, mental, moral, sentimental and spiritual, immensely and enthusiastically. * Networking is the new word and form of democracy. * I like the beauty of these two statements: “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” * | My Testament to the UN -A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 8 | In January of 1992, for the first time in forty seven years, the UN Security Council met at the heads of state level. Bravo! Also to be congratulated are Mr. Ingvar Carlson, former Prime Minister of Sweden, for his "Stockholm Initiative" which tackles the subject of world governance, and the Club of Rome for its project on governance for the 21st century. To be a head of state for the glory of the title means little. To be a good head of state, philosopher, peacemaker, world statesperson, a lover of people and the planet means much. * | | "The true essence of humankind is kindness. There are other qualities which come from education or knowledge, but it is essential, if one wishes to be a genuine human being and impart satisfying meaning to one's existence, to have a good heart." -Tenzin Gyatso, The 14th Dalai Lama * | Guestbook Location Map & Photo Collection | Jane Allen Location: San Francisco (CA) 02.16.2006 Greetings to all!
