No further undue development should become the ideal and rule in several places of Earth. Costa Rica is a good example: one-third of the surface of the land consists of national parks, biological reserves, provincial parks and protected areas where no forests can be exploited and trees cut. I am glad to live in one of these areas, on a sacred hill on which Rasur, the God of the indigenous children appeared to them, asked them to take good care of all nature and prophecized that from that hill a civilization of peace, justice and happiness will extend to the entire world.

| Dearest Breeze, I Choose Joy...is so beautiful.The words, the thoughts remind us of our friend Thich Nhat Hanh...so compelling, so correct and when said enough times will get into people's hearts and minds and Peace will be possible..I remember meeting him and he radiated peace as he spoke and held our attention and then, years later, in Santa Barbara after speaking at the University I saw this same man in flowing orange robes running to the ocean with joy and bliss and I knew that the world will one day experience total Peace and joy. "If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work.
In order to rally people, governments need enemies. They want us to be afraid, to hate, so we will rally behind them. And if they do not have a real enemy, they will invent one in order to mobilize us.
In true dialogue, both sides are willing to change.
People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?
Smiling is very important. If we are not able to smile, then the world will not have peace. It is not by going out for a demonstration against nuclear missiles that we can bring about peace. It is with our capacity of smiling, breathing, and being peace that we can make peace.
Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy.
The practice of peace and reconciliation is one of the most vital and artistic of human actions."
