Ending War |
Introduction (Ideas 301 to 400) MY SEVEN TOP PRIORITY RECOMMENDATIONS 6. Holding by the UN of a world conference on violence and the peaceful resolution of all conflicts It is high time for the UN to have a look at all forms of violence on this planet, their causes, their prevention and the ways they could be solved by non-violent means, from the top of the world (international conflicts) down to violence in the streets and in the family. We must aim at a new century and millennium of non-violence. * Daily Idea Dream Topics: Peace, Idea Dreams 6001-6500, Ending War, Planet Of Hope, Religion & Spirituality |

Robert's Golden Sayings |
Humanity must never lose hope. Our present conflicts and differences are difficult but not hopeless. We cannot expect people of such different races, cultures, languages, ways of life and beliefs, who have lived for thousands of years separated from each other to suddenly love each other and work together harmoniously. It takes time and patience. We must work on it stubbornly and not throw in the towel. * |
My Testament to the UN -A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 1 |
UN lamentation: "Oh, my children, how can you ever forget that 30 million dead were my father and the atom bomb my mother?" The UN is the only realistic hope left for this planet. It is rightly called the "House of Hope". * |

The sin of inadvertence, not being alert, not quite awake, is the sin of missing the moment of life — live with unremitting awareness. Joseph Campbell |
