Robert's Golden Sayings |
The question is never “to prepare a speech.” It is always: “to prepare a great speech, a memorable speech.” * |
My Testament to the UN -A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 9 |
The most important division on this planet is not between East and West and between North and South. The most important division is between those who want human unity and world order and those who want the supremacy of their group at the expense of the planet and of humanity. * |

Re: [GMW #954] Undaunted Service For A Better World Dear Good Morning World, I am so touched by today's message and honored to be Robert's daughter who worked in the refugee camps. It feels like events are coming together in the universe. A week ago I gave a talk in my son Adrian's global history class about my work with the refugees in El Salvador and it stirred up many significant events that happened in the three years I worked in Honduras. The next day I received a call from Voices on the Border, an organization working with Salvadoran refugees. They called me because I had made a donation and provided incorrect information. As we spoke, I learned that they are planning a medical delegation to El Salvador to the community where the 8,000 refugees returned to. They decided that I can be part of the delegation as a public health person and a medical interpreter. I have not seen the people I worked with in the camps since l989 when I made a brief return visit. I am still undaunted 22 years after my departure from the camps and I hope that I am wiser. It will be an amazing reunion in November. My father and mother both helped me become who I am - a compassionate person with strong convictions and the ability to negotiate in difficult situations.
