I wrote to my daughter Gisele, who is an ocean biologist:
“Symbiosis means a common life form or relationship.
Humanity is certainly not in symbiosis with the Earth. It is an antibiotic or decadent Earth destructive, eco, oikos destructive, biosis.

Note: Ecology, the knowledge, science of the oikos, home. Economy (nomos) the ruling, the administration of the oikos, home. Cosmology, the science of the cosmos.
There is also the beginning of human cosmonomy in outer space.
Note: the trouble of humanity was to give priority to economy (the management of our home, the ruling of it over ecology (oikos logos the knowledge of your home). This is the origin of a lot of our problems today.
This is also why I recommend that no student should be allowed to study economics before having studied ecology or he should study the two disciplines together.
