Traveling by air one late evening from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles I managed to sit in the last row of the plane and to see the illuminated land and seashore below. I saw city after city illuminated by millions of housing and automobile lights. Did it look beautiful? No. It looked like a massive invasion.
If I were a film producer, I would make a video of these sites at night.
People would be shocked to see it and would ask themselves how they can live in such cities and how this phenomenon can be spreading all over the world.

UNESCO reports that nations spend more money on teaching international relations in universities than they spend on the entire United Nations and its thirty-two specialized agencies! There is something basically wrong with that.
