When after World War II I said to my father that I wanted to become a peacemaker he answered, “There are no peacemakers. There are only war makers. You will lose your time and efforts. You better become a hatmaker like me and your grandfather.”
Well, today there are thousands of peacemakers in the world and the war makers are on the retreat. What is also needed now is a large number of paradise makers, paradisers.

Is it possible that having lived so long and knowing fairly well our paleontology, archaeology and history, no one is trying to visualize seriously the future? Yes, it is quite possible. This too is even a fact.

Well, if all this is possible, is it not vital that someone should come along who would do it for us? Yes, and this someone is the UN and its agencies, nurtured by all cultures, beliefs, learning, experiences and efforts of all nations, by the hopes, dreams and faith of all people, by the thoughts of all great men and women, living and dead.
And is it possible that you and I have a responsibility and role to play? Yes, it is possible. It is even certain.
Therefore we should know the UN, care for the UN, preach the UN, teach the UN, love the UN and advocate the UN until our death and even beyond.
