Idea Dream

~ Idea 6262 ~
The Earth:

“Dear Robert, I am afraid that due to the misdirected human beings I will soon become the Planet of Waste in the universe. Gone will be the times when I was named Goddess Gaia or Eartha. I will be a misfit in the universe, covered with roads, airports, monstrous cities, military establishments, atomic bombs and skyscrapers floating dead, devoid of life around my brother sun deeply afflicted too by this disastrous course.”

Robert's Golden Sayings
Why do I live? That is the question. To love, to be immeasurably happy and to please God. That is my answer. What is yours?

My Testament to the UN
-A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 4

To be a UN official is to exercise the most beautiful ministry on Earth. One is a priest, a prophet, a healer, a preacher, an artist, a writer, a scientist, an inspirer, a linguist, a believer, a universal sage and a representative and lover of this beautiful planet and of humanity. There is nothing more challenging and exalting on Earth than to work for the United Nations.

The age of nations has passed. Now, unless we wish to perish, we must shake off our old prejudices and build the Earth. The more scientifically I regard the world, the less can I see any possible biological future for it except in the active consciousness of its unity. --Teilhard de Chardin
