Advertisements are mushrooming to such an extent in the world that they might render the people sick of them and no longer wish to live on this planet. Mark this prediction of mine.
~ Idea 6198 ~
If people will say to you that I am crazy to come up with thousands of ideas for a better world and life, tell them to think of the many more thousands of advertisements they will have to see during their life to spend money and to buy things they often do not need.
~ Idea 6199 ~
All governments should provide yearly statistics to the UN of the advertisements produced in their country. The world total would be staggering. And to think that all the sums spent on them are included in the gross national products!!

If, on the other hand, these institutions serve a purpose, then it will be the end of France."
And after a moment of reflection, looking at the distant horizon as he used to do, he added:
"Everything has an end. Why should not France have an end too? Perhaps my mission was a last effort towards the summits. Perhaps I have written the last page of France's grandeur."

Dear Robert and Barbara,
I learned about your work and wonderful newsletter through the writings of Annie O'Shaughnessy.
She has been a writer for a newsletter called "A Pause for Beauty," published by Heron Dance ( www.herondance.org). I just received my very first issue of "A Pause for Beauty" last week
and in her heart-felt article, Annie introduced some of your writings. These moved me so much,
I spent about an hour on the Internet finding out more about who you were. A reviewer of one
of your books gave me the clue that you had a newsletter of your own and I searched further
until I found that web site and signed up.

I also read on Annie's online journal that she is taking a new road in her life and will opening her

is raising funds to launch this work of her heart more fully.
I know from just this briefest of introductions to the two of you, Robert, that you and Annie
are kindred spirits.
So, this is my story of how I came to sign up for your newsletter. I've ordered one of your
books and subscribed to your wonderful newsletter, and am sending Annie a thank-you
donation for introducing us and in support of her beautiful self.

PS. The name Soul Flares was inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, who wrote:

Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the strongest things you can do."
