Yes, how divinely happy a human can be to live a good part of his life on a marvelous sacred hill with a wonderful varied nature and the best oxygen air and pure water in the world? God and his invisible forces had this recompense to me for all I did for peace, for the non-harming of nature and of the waters, airs and climate of our beloved, perhaps unique planet in the universe.

-A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 10 | In Constitution Hall in Philadelphia, one sees the President's chair which has a half-sun with golden rays painted on its back. Benjamin Franklin was very old when the constitution was finally adopted. He addressed the Assembly in these terms:
"I have often, in the course of the session and the vicissitudes of my hopes and fears as to its issue, looked at the back of the President's chair without being able to tell whether the sun painted on it was rising or setting. But now at length I have the happiness to know that it is a rising sun."
I hope that a replica of that chair will be offered by the City of Philadelphia to the United Nations for use by the President of the United Nations Constitutional Assembly for the world.
