13. Eminent thinkers should meet during the year to draft a world Constitution. Provisions are made for world democracy, world elections, world public opinion polls and referenda to give people a direct voice in the world’s affairs, a step rendered possible by modern communication technologies.

On my 63rd birthday I feel 30 years younger because I embark upon the new exciting adventure as Chancellor of the University for Peace in Costa Rica, an unpaid job, an almost impossible job, since the University has only meager financial resources.
But I like impossible jobs. Perhaps this is what I was born for and why I am still alive.
May I count on my many readers and friends to help me succeed. My appointment is theirs too. It.is our common success as lovers and defenders of the peace of this beautiful planet and of humanity.
