| Easter, 30 March 1986
My last Easter as a UN official. Tomorrow will be my last day. 1 am glad that I complete my world service on a day of resurrection and hope.
I am thinking of Teilhard de Chardin who died on an Easter Sunday, day of resurrection, according to his wishes. And of Father de Breuvery, his companion, who told me on the eve of his own death that he wanted a mass in white, a mass of joy and resurrection for his funeral.
May I also express the wish that my last service will be a mass of joy and resurrection.
