17. The Military Staff Committee of the Security Council should meet at the chiefs of staff level and undertake three tasks: i. Plan a World Disarmament Agency;
ii. Adopts immediate measures to prevent a nuclear war;
iii. Implement worldwide military cooperation in multiple fields, starting with the creation of a UN fleet to patrol the seas and the oceans and a UN satellite system to monitor disarmament, as proposed by France.

My Testament to the UN -A Contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, 1995, Chapter 10 |
My Easter prayer: I pray that there will be no one left on this Earth who hates the UN. I pray that the American people will awaken and instill a new spirit in the great universal organization which they helped create. I pray God to bless the United Nations, as Pope John Paul II did with tears in his eyes when he left the UN after his historical visit. I pray that all the schools of planet Earth will teach the children about the UN. I pray that all human beings on this planet will help fulfill the dreams of peace, justice and prosperity of their world organization. I pray that all humans will contribute their peace, love, happiness and kindness to a better world. I pray that all nations on Earth will prepare a beautiful world¬wide golden jubilee of the UN in 1995 ansi a Bimillennium Celebra¬tion of Life and Peace in the year 2000 . * |
