~ Idea 6132 ~ One of the most effective advices I have come across in my life was by the French author Balzac: "travaille pour ta réputation et ta réputation travaillera pour toi" (Work for your reputation and your reputation will work for you). Or as Socrates said: "The nearest way to glory is to strive to be what you wish to be thought to be." For example Secretary General U Thant wanted to be remembered as a "kind and good man who understood others". That is why he is remembered today as U Thant the Kind. * |
